While you’re living them, these moments can feel beautifully familiar. Years later, you may wish you could return to them — to remember the weight of your baby, the sound of that laughter, the closeness of this particular chapter.
I’ve wanted to create an experience that makes space for those feelings. Something deeply personal, approached with care and artistry, while allowing your connection to lead the story.
That wish became The Story of Us.
A Thoughtfully Created Experience, Entirely Yours
The Story of Us is an intimate, documentary-inspired photography experience for maternity, newborns and families, in the comfort of your home.
From our first conversation, I want to understand what matters to you: the season you’re in, the relationships you treasure and the little things you hope you’ll always remember. Together, we’ll consider the clothing and spaces within your home that will help you feel comfortable and beautifully yourselves.
The luxury is in that personal attention — in having the details thoughtfully considered, the session gently guided and the time to be present with the people you love.
Your session follows a simple, cohesive approach, with personal clothing and no outfit changes or styled prop setups. The familiar surroundings, soft light and way you naturally come together become part of your story.
Photographs That Hold Feeling
I want to notice the way your partner looks at you when your attention is elsewhere. The small hand resting on your shoulder. The tenderness of soothing your baby, or the laughter that arrives when your children forget about the camera.
I’ll offer gentle direction, helping you find beautiful light and settle comfortably together. Then we’ll leave room for the moments that belong to you.
You won’t need to perform or keep everyone perfectly still. There is space for feeding breaks, shy beginnings, movement and affection. Those moments help create a gallery with its own rhythm — photographs that carry your family’s personality and the feeling of being together.
Your Home, Your Chapter
An in-home experience preserves the intimacy of the life you’ve made: the nursery you lovingly prepared, the bed where everyone gathers, the familiar place where your child always wants to sit beside you.
Your home doesn’t need to be perfect. Its meaning comes from the people who live there and the memories taking shape within it. We’ll choose a few spaces with welcoming light and let your family settle into them.
For maternity, we’ll celebrate anticipation and the love already growing around your baby. For newborns, we’ll preserve the tenderness of those first weeks. For families, we’ll capture the relationships, personalities and familiar gestures that make this chapter yours.
