Newborn photography is about capturing the unique love and joy that each special newborn brings into the world, and I love doing just that!
Whether you’re due next month or several months from now, now is the ideal time to reserve your newborn photography session - the actual date is flexible and depends on when your new little love joins you! Taking the time to book now will allow you to capture the most precious newborn photographs possible - when your baby is just a few days old. You will never regret your decision to commit these precious moments to film.
When you book a newborn session, you are guaranteeing a photography date in my calendar. Your due date will be your provisional session date, so that we can be sure that you are on my calendar for that month. Your actual session date will be confirmed once your baby arrives.
As soon as you book your newborn photo session, I’ll send you a photography contract with all the information you need to know, and some other helpful tips for how to prepare for your newborn photography time.
Newborns change so much and so fast in the first couple of weeks after birth. The best time for a newborn session is when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old. This helps ensure we have a sleepy, snuggly baby. (After that, some of the most adorable poses aren’t so easy to achieve. However, swaddle set ups and awake shots are still possible with older babies.)
Given this small window, it’s best to book your session while you are pregnant, usually during your second or third trimester. However, if you have already had your baby, please contact me to see if I have availability! My weekly calendar fills up quickly, but last minute bookings are welcome when I have time available.
The first two weeks with a new baby go by in a flash, and before you know it you may have missed the opportunity to take the most darling sleepy photographs of your sweet newborn. Don't wait! Plan ahead.
Once your sweet baby is here, contact me by email or text, as as soon as possible after your baby arrives, so we can schedule the best date for your photography session.
